This Mechanical Design Engineer role is to join a busy, growing engineering consultancy, where you will be part of a close-knit team of engineers working on a range of sectors including education, retail, MOD and commercial. About the Role
Detailed design drawings with a specialisation in mechanical system design.
Preparing technical specifications and schedules and design development reports.
Taking projects through from inception to completion and handover.
Undertaking survey work.
Production of feasibility reports.
Attend site progress meetings and review installations.
Supporting junior staff.
Maintaining good client relationships.
Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors.
Advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint
Requirements
MEng / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or an accredited building services degree.
You will be a mechanical design engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in building services.
You will have excellent communication skills.
Due to the nature of some the projects, you must be a permanent UK resident.
