About the Company

This senior electrical design engineer role is to join a friendly, growing modern engineering consultancy.

Most of the work will be design for commercial projects, care homes, NHS hospitals (new build and upgrades) and residential both houses and flats and it must be noted that all design work is done with a focus on sustainability. They have excellent client relationships and benefit from ongoing repeat business.

About the Role

  • Work with the clients to establish the brief and follow the project through to the technical fulfilment.

  • Attend project meetings with all parties

  • Carry out condition surveys, feasibility studies, report writing etc.

  • Carry out detailed scheme designs.

  • Carry out calculations, both manual and by using computer-based systems.

  • Assist, support and supervise junior design staff.

Requirements

  • Building Services Degree Electrical Design Degree or other related higher educational qualification (HNC/HND)

  • Previous work within a building services design role.

  • Experience should include calculations, drawings, specifications.

  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit

  • Hold a full UK driving license
