In this full-time permanent position, you will be part of the Mission Critical team in the London office and reporting to the Mission Critical Market Sector Leader The role will cover various sectors including, but not limited to Data Centres, Mobile Networks and Laboratories.
The Senior Project Engineer responsible for the delivery of engineering services from design through to construction. Project Leader responsible for the delivery of medium and large sized single and multi-disciplinary projects.
This role primarily works independently applying deep technical knowledge and skills on large/complex projects. May be involved in mentoring less experienced team members, act as a Project Leader responsible for project performance over time and/or manage a small team (typically 1-2 direct reports).
About the Role
Electrical Designs and calculations.
Taking an active role in project meetings.
Liaising with both internal and external design teams.
Supervision of Junior staff.
Participating in developing the Mission Critical offering (data centres & laboratories).
Participating in project activities including design and documentation.
Requirements
A relevant tertiary qualification combined with equivalent training, accreditation and experience.
Well-developed understanding of Project Stages and Delivery methods (e.g. full design, design and construct).
Chartered Engineering (or equivalent) status is desirable.
Well developed understanding of relevant British Standards.
Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with large scale data centres and/or mobile networks.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across multiple disciplines including colleagues and clients.
Ability to exercise well developed problem solving skills and use substantial initiative and judgement to work independently to meet objectives.
Politically astute with team members and clients.
