About the Company

This role is to join an established consulting engineering practice who specialise in design within the mechanical and electrical field.


Due to continued growth within the business, they are now looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team.


You will be fully conversant in all aspects of electrical design associated with Building Engineering Services including the site wide authority supplies required for major construction sites and industrial premises.

About the Role

Design work undertaken includes refrigeration, sprinkler systems and insulated structure installations, along with all specialist service elements that are required. As a business their building services design expertise covers a range of sectors which have grown to include their specialism, automated warehousing projects for the e-commerce market encompassing general merchandise, clothing and food distribution.

Requirements

  • Provide evidence of previous major project design experience in electrical engineering.

  • Provide evidence of your experience and understanding of integrated design in buildings.

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines.

  • Possess genuine interest and knowledge of sustainable design and low energy buildings.

  • Provide evidence of delivering projects from inception to completion, through your own efforts and that of your team.

  • Familiarity with site practices, and experience of inspections and surveys.

  • Possess a good understanding of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.

  • Competent in specification writing, design/drawing for all building types.

  • Must possess good knowledge and a competent ability in the use of Amtech and their preferred Lighting Design Software.

  • Be conversant with up to date IT, technical methodology and information sources.

  • Possess a thorough understanding of the relevant and current British and industry Standards.

  • Possess the ability to prioritise project and team workload.
