About the Company

This role is to join an established consulting engineering practice who specialise in design within the mechanical and electrical field, they are now looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team.


Design work undertaken includes schools, university, cultural, high end residential, housing, offices, and listed buildings.


You will be fully conversant in all aspects of electrical design associated with Building Engineering Services

About the Role

  • Attending meetings and making client presentations on selected projects.

  • Raise/promote the level of technical excellence relating to electrical engineering within the team.

  • Help generate repeat business through customer care of existing clients.

  • Working on a variety of technically challenging and interesting projects across varied sectors.

  • Be client facing and involved in all stages of the projects from inception to completion.

  • Working closely with others in a team environment to achieve a common goal.

  • Producing drawings and specifications.

  • Producing calculations or guiding others to complete them.

Requirements

  • Provide evidence of previous project design experience in electrical engineering.

  • Provide evidence of your experience and understanding of integrated design in buildings.

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines.

  • Possess genuine interest and knowledge of sustainable design and low energy buildings.

  • Provide evidence of delivering projects from inception to completion, through your own efforts and that of your team.

  • Familiarity with site practices, and experience of inspections and surveys.

  • Possess a good understanding of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.

  • Competent in specification writing, design/drawing for all building types.

  • Be conversant with up to date IT, technical methodology and information sources.

  • Possess a thorough understanding of the relevant and current British and industry Standards.

  • Possess the ability to prioritise project workload.
