This role is to join the building services department of a large contractor, they refurbish, extend and repurpose buildings from their network of offices across the UK.
Undertaking award-winning projects for the public and private sector, they use the latest digital technologies and modern methods of construction, to deliver projects in a lean, green and efficient way.
About the Role
Input at tender / cost planning stage including evaluating M&E Consultants specifications and tender drawings.
Work with estimators to prepare tender lists for specialist sub-contractors and major plant and equipment.
Analyse bids and quotations for specification technical compliance.
Raise technical queries / RFI’s.
Delivery of Construction issue co-ordinated working drawings to programme.
Checking and sign off of Co-ordinated working drawings for compliance.
Producing Technical Submissions, liaising with subcontractors, manufacturers and design consultants.
Delivery of plant and equipment to meet programme.
Management of design team to meet their obligations.
Liaison with Construction team members.
Manage CAD & Engineering resources to agreed programme durations, costs and budgets.
Liaison with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure order completeness, spec compliance and interface with Mechanical and construction elements.
Engineering of Contractors responsibilities such as cable sizing, bracketry, etc.
Preparation and monitoring of client and design changes.
Travel to visit projects.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience within a similar role.
Minimum relevant qualification to HNC, HND level.
Experience in using Microsoft packages.
Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment or as an individual with minimal supervision.
Good collaboration skills.
Dynamic and ambitious.
Adaptable / flexible.
