This role is to join a consultancy practice providing mechanical, electrical, public health and sustainable engineering building services for a wide range of private and public sector clients
including historic, listed, educational, institutional, commercial, residential, and ecclesiastical buildings.
About the Role
Working as part of a design team delivering detailed design primarily on refurbishment projects.
Designing site-specific equipment as required.
Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures.
Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams.
Attending a range of project group and technical meetings.
Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements.
Requirements
Preferably a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
Chartered or working towards chartership would be advantageous although not essential.
Experience of running projects from conception through to completion including calculations, drawings, specifications, etc.
Intermediate level, at least 2 years mechanical design experience.
Senior level 5 years plus mechanical design experience.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Great interpersonal skills, a team player and a genuine interest in helping others.
You must be a driver and have a car as site visits are necessary.
