Associate Sustainability Consultant – City of London

This role is to join an established multi-disciplined consultancy.

They provide a comprehensive, customised design and construction service with strong emphasis on imaginative design as well as effective contract management. They have excellent long lasting business relationships with their clients and their areas of expertise include retail, commercial, hotels, residential and healthcare sectors.

The successful candidate will head up the sustainability function, liaising with external sustainability consultants, and to develop the service internally. Working with the MEP team to provide the backbone from an environmental regulatory perspective and best practice in building services design also.

• Assisting with fee preparation associated with all sustainability input on a project.

• Working alongside the Project Managers to establish the Energy and Sustainability requirements.

• Budget and programme planning.

• Work alongside project architects to agree thermal requirements and glazing strategies.

• Collation of Building Control evidence in relation to Sustainability items e.g. Energy strategies and CO2 calculations.

• Advise on up-and-coming changes to legislation or other good practice guidance.

• Maintaining up to date knowledge of emerging technologies through continued personal development.

• Oversee the production of Sustainability / Energy Calculations.

• Contribute to business development and promote the company in the wider industry.

• Developing the energy strategy from the inception stages of the project and overseeing energy calculations services all the way through to completion.
